Movement in Water as a Healing Practice
Healing Dance is a holistic aquatic bodywork practice.
During a session, you are supported in warm water and guided through flowing movements, stretches, spirals, and subtle rhythms. The practitioner listens closely to your breath, tone, and responses, allowing movement to arise naturally.
Water reduces the pull of gravity, quiets the nervous system, and creates a sense of safety. In this environment, the body often feels free to let go in ways that are not easily accessible on land.
An Experience of Being Moved
Healing Dance works through presence rather than correction.
Each session is unique, shaped by what is needed in that moment. There is no goal to reach, no performance to achieve.
People often describe the experience as:
• Being gently held and guided
• Entering a meditative or dreamlike state
• Reconnecting with parts of themselves long forgotten
This is not something to do, it is something to receive.

I discovered aquatic bodywork in 1999, and have been teaching Healing Dance since 2006.
I have taught classes, workshops, and professional trainings internationally, in the United States, Europe, Israel, India, and Spain, and am one of a small group of senior instructors certifying Healing Dance Practitioners.
My teaching emphasizes safety, sensitivity, and deep listening, honoring both the water as a teacher and the individual as their own authority.
When I started working with Ashaman I had very little experience in health and fitness. His clear and patient guidance changed my life massively for the better. I’m stronger and more connected to my body then ever before and I have a new found love for daily movement. Thanks coach!
